Emotional intelligence / EQ
About this training
How do we deal with our own emotions and with those of others? Empathy, flexibility and optimism result in better relationships with clients, colleagues and superiors. As a matter of fact, a high IQ 'as such' is not a guarantee for a successful career.
Knowledge alone will not suffice to teach us all skills required for the things we want to achieve. Combination and integration of IQ and EQ is a matter of high importance. Persons with a high EQ are generally more successful and efficient in performing their job. Managing of emotional skills, such as assertiveness, dealing with relations, thinking in a problem-solving way, empathy, and stress tolerance, all contribute to a more successful life, both professionally and in private.
Program
The following aspects are addressed in this interactive training course:
- What is EQ, and how can it be implemented in a business world?
- Emotions, what are they and how can I control them
- How to get a deeper insight into my own person and into others
- Can I create my own thoughts?
- Being a victim versus assuming responsibilities
- Where do I put my focus?
- Nerves, uncertainty and fear of failure: causes and remedies
- Visualisation: how to choose your own evocation of things
- A model of the logical levels and of restricting and stimulating convictions
- Sharpening your senses: how can I get on the same wavelength with everyone?
- Values, convictions, patterns of thought, and attitude: how restricting or stimulating are they in my own day-to-day reality and how can I improve them?
