Target group

The training course "Interview Techniques for Selection and Recruitment" is aimed at anyone involved in the recruitment procedure of new employees who has not received specific HR training and/or experience. The course is primarily aimed at managers who interview the potential candidate in the selection process.

Approach

The "behavorial interview" is a job interview technique aimed at discovering how a potential candidate has responded in professional situations. The logic is that past performance in the workplace will predict future performance.

Instead of asking about how a candidate would respond, the interviewer is going to ask about how a candidate has responded in the past. The interviewer wants to find out how that a candidate acted in a specific situation, rather than asking what he/she would do in a hypothetical situation.
